What this is doing

The form collects six fields on purpose. The letter is assembled from Acme Legal & Accounting’s two templates (legal, accounting) and a clause library, with the rate card, retainer rules and payment terms from the firm’s manual.

Rules pick the template and the clauses: practice area, fee basis, litigation retainer, who signs.
Names, dates and fees are substituted. Anything the manual requires and the form did not give becomes a pending marker, never a guess.
The model drafts one thing: the scope narrative, from your description. It is shaded in the draft and in the Word file.
The draft lists what to review before sending and records the template version and inputs that produced it.

In a firm this reads the matter record instead of a form, uses the firm’s own templates, and sends the letter for signature from the matter system.
